I’m hard-pressed to find a time that’s not appropriate for a Belgian ale. Unless you are working, in which case you should not be drinking. (Unless your job is to taste beer. If this is your job, you have the best job ever.)
So smooth and flavorful, whether it’s a quad, tripel, dubbel, I don’t think I’ve ever had one I really did not enjoy.
Naturally, when choosing a beer to review for PorchDrinking, I wanted to pick a Belgian-style from a local brewery. The Philadelphia region has so many great breweries, I knew at least a few would have an option.
Conshohocken Brewing Company provides a fantastic offering with the Tripel Deke Belgian-Style Tripel Ale. It is deceptively smooth and milder than some tripels. The booze is well-hidden in this low-profile brew, so be careful!
